...only cause it seems I can’t find the good things in Auto anymore. Anyone know of a well optioned Mustang GT with maybe Recaros and the touch screen anywhere? And not in red? Or something along those lines. cause I like my auto car, but I kinda wanna just get a stick just to see what it’s like living with one. maybe I should just plop some cash down on a Fox Body and try that...idk what does Oppo think?
here is my current Mustang GT
It’s an 2011 GT with just about all the options.

Yeah, the Mustang sucks. Especially in 5.0 trim. You should dispose of it immediately. Just hand me the keys and you’ll never have to look at it anymore.

Maybe this is just me, but there’s no downside to “living with” a manual. I think if you haven’t driven one before, it seems like a pain to have to change gears and work the clutch all the time, but after a while it just becomes subconscious.

I would also add; don’t try to learn stick on the GT. The clutch is really finicky, at least it was for me.

The clutch on my former 2011 GT was great.

I don’t know that the one I drove was -bad-, just very, very different from my FoST.

Just find a dealer with a 2011 gt stick and try to do an even trade. The mustang stick vs auto isn't a big price difference on used market so you should be able to find a similar car and not pay more if you find a stick. If you can drive a stick now you're either gonna love stick or just grow meh to it. What I mean is if you don't currently hate it you won't grow to hate it just maybe get tired of it

The thing is I had fun when I drove my buddys vette with a stick, and I just want to be able to do the things to the car that I can’t with the auto.

As you have discovered, manuel’s are much better when it comes to car control (or losing control). I would recommend being prepared for a new clutch and tires. An older stang, like a fox body you mentioned would probably be the more affordable route to take.

That is pretty nice. Not crazy about the color, but looks like it was taken care of and modified properly.

It really does, that’s why I like it. The Color is whatever though

See if you can do some sort of even trade at a dealer for a GT with a stick. As soon as you start driving a stick, you’ll love it. So much more engaging than just sitting there and smashing a single pedal at a time!

Just test drive the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. You’ll want to live with that manual for a long time.

I would say that’s only worth like 5.5-6 at most. Just inserting my .02
